about

Overview about our hospital

We have approximately 25,000 inpatient admissions each
year and our 200+ specialized clinical programs.

Medis Hospital is a 74-bed modern private hospital, owned and operated; Australia’s third largest not-for-profit health care group with 14 hospitals across WA, Victoria, NSW and New Zealand.

Our Medis hospital is a modern and comfortable facility, with a doctor team who will take time to listen to your doctor needs, and provide you with personalized, high quality dental care. We simply believe these are the right things to do because this is how we would treat our own friends and family.

  • Doctor excellency

In 2003, a generous philanthropic gift made the 295,000 square foot Karp Family Research Laboratories possible. The building increased our research space by more than 60%.

  • Top-notch medical equipments

Through the years, scientists at Boston Children's Hospital have set the pace in pediatric research, identifying treatments and therapies for many debilitating diseases.

Our History

The hospital has been part of the local community since 1939 to
approximately 8,000 patients a year.

In 2008, the American Nurses Credentialing Center awarded us Magnet status for nursing excellence. We are one of only a handful of hospitals in the country -- less than six percent -- to achieve this status. Magnet status means that we have a world-class nursing organization that provides quality patient care and has a track record of developing innovations.
